After more than 10 days of automotive excellence from 43 brands and over 100 exhibitors at the Canadian International AutoShow, the doors have closed for the 2025 season. With various Show highlights including exotic cars, vehicle debuts, concept cars, test drives, family-fun experiences, and more, this year was one for the books.
The record snowfall that swept through over the opening weekend resulted in a slower start to the Show than anticipated. However, the event quickly rebounded, achieving three consecutive record-breaking days of attendance and consumer engagement. Despite the challenges, 323,521 consumers visited the Metro Toronto Convention Centre over 10 days, making the Show a resounding success by all accounts.
Brands presented a total of 26 all-new vehicle debuts. Canadian and North American auto show debuts headlined the event, featuring 26 exciting new launches from 16 brands.
Thousands of test drives were offered over the course of the event, allowing attendees to get a feel for the diverse range of EVs, hybrids, and ICE vehicles in the market. Over 50 vehicles from 24 different brands were available for test drives through various indoor and outdoor programs.
The MVRO was front and centre with government representatives at the 2025 Canadian International Auto Show. This year, the federal government announced $10 million to help secure EV supply chains given the current uncertainty. Ruby Sahota, the federal Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario was on hand to make the announcement. Joining her were fellow MPs Francesco Sorbara, James Maloney and Maninder Sidhu. Details of the announcement are here..
MVRO was also proud to collaborate with Accelerate Auto and the Automotive Business School of Canada to host 80 students from GTA school boards for an immersive experience at the Canadian International AutoShow. Students had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, explore career paths in automotive, and learn about the many opportunities available to them.
A special thank you to everyone who braved the snow and visited the AutoShow this year. The team has already begun planning for the 2026 Canadian International AutoShow, and there are some big things coming.
The 2026 Canadian International AutoShow, presented by Toronto Star, returns February 13 to 22, 2026 to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
