Re: OMVIC Board Elections – Vote for a New Car Representative
The Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 2:30pm.
This hybrid event will be held at the Novotel Toronto North York, Gibson Ballroom, 3 Park Home Avenue, Toronto, and online to allow choice and convenience.
Only Dealer Members may vote and participate in the Annual Meeting. Following registration, Dealer Members will receive voting credentials from Data On the Spot (DOTS) 24 hours before the meeting. Dealer Members attending virtually will also receive a secure Zoom link. Please note that as a result of the 2023 amendments to OMVIC’s By-Law No. 1, voting by proxy is no longer permitted. Consequently, all voting will occur on the day of the meeting using the voting credentials received from DOTS.
Please note that the deadline for pre-registration for in-person attendance is 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, and 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, for virtual attendance.
You should have already received communication from OMVIC regarding the AGM and its voting process.
Please visit OMVIC’s AGM website here for full details, and for the slate of industry candidates vying for a seat on the OMVIC Board. As far as I can tell, there are at least 6 people who are, or work for, new car dealers, that have put their name forward.
Their biographies are available on the AGM website and here.
Sincerely,
Frank Notte
Director of Government Relations
