Driven to support Ontario
The TADF was founded in 2001 in an effort to give Ontario new car dealers a common purpose and a voice in supporting charitable endeavours, and to spearhead the philanthropic vision of the TADA. As the charitable arm of the TADA this foundation has spent the past 20 years supporting a wide spectrum of groups and associations the benefit people and communities across Ontario.
British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal
November 22, 2021
The Canadian Red Cross has launched the British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal to support those impacted by the recent severe rainfall across the British Columbia southern coast and interior regions, which resulted in multiple flooding events, landslides, power outages, and other incidents.
In support of the automotive community, the Wheaton Family and the First Canadian Financial Group have announced that they will match all contributions from dealers and industry across the country up to the first $500,000.
The Trillium Automobile Dealers Foundation has donated $10,000 towards this cause, following the lead of the BC Dealers Association (NCDA) and CADA.
If you wish to contribute, please see below for more details:
If you would like to participate in the matching offer from the Wheaton Family and the First Canadian Financial Group, please email or call the representative at the Canadian Red Cross, Dean Yano (Manager, Corporate Partnerships) noting how you’d like to make your donation (by cheque, EFT, or credit card and use this reference title – BC Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal):

COVID TADF Activities
On April 11, the Trillium Automobile Dealers Foundation (TADF) donated 32,000 masks to the Province of Ontario to help protect all front-line workers and first responders in the fight against COVID-19. Premier Doug Ford personally picked up the masks from TADF Executive Director, Todd Bourgon

In May, 2018, the TADA donated $75,000 to the OPACC (opacc.org), a registered charity that serves as the parent voice for families with children diagnosed with cancer across Ontario; and $100,000 to Jack.org, a national organization of young leaders who are changing public perceptions about mental health.
In 2013, the TADF made a donation of $1 million to the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. The Holland Bloorview Concussion Research Centre focuses on identifying the injury, assessing the injuries, and managing the injury.
TADA’s $1-million gift, combined with government funding, helped to launch the Concussion Research Centre to provide research and response for appropriate treatments for boys and girls who have suffered a concussion.
In November 2011, the TADF donated $2 million dollars towards construction costs of the TADA Gift of Life Wing of the new Toronto Ronald McDonald House (RMH). This is the largest RMH in the world and the TADF gift made it possible to accommodate more Ontario families with seriously ill children, who are awaiting or receiving treatment at neighbouring hospitals.
